LINKS TO HI-FI AND MUSIC SITES that I hope you will find useful:
I've just upgraded my main Hi-Fi system, with the help of Stephen Harper of Audio Consultants. I highly recommend him for the high quality audio equipment he stocks, and his very helpful and knowledgeable service.
I use a Keith Monks record cleaning machine and can highly recommend the machine. I'm very glad that they are now back in business. Customers in the USA or Canada can obtain them from Audio Restoration. Graham Newton is enormously knowledgable about the machines and very helpful.
MusicWeb is full of fascinating articles about music & musicians
I find Ron Penndorf's Labelography immensely useful for its pictures of labels of US issued LPs, such as Columbia, RCA, Mercury, London. It includes detailed descriptions so that you can see which is the original label for a particular issue
For many years I have bought Early Music CDs from Peter Berg of Lindum Records. Peter has now retired but the business will continue under new management.
Jazz collectors will find Jazz House Records in Leicester an excellent source of second hand vinyl records and new CDs
Classic Record Collector: (formerly ICRC) The magazine is the best place for articles about historic recordings & reviews of CD re-issues, but you need to subscribe, either to the magazine or to the site, in order to access their reviews online
The site for Gramophone, the world-famous magazine of classical music on record, has a superb open access archive of reviews going back to 1983
Beverley Early Music Festival is my favourite Early Music Festival
I use a Keith Monks record cleaning machine and can highly recommend the machine. I'm very glad that they are now back in business.
Customers in the USA may like to know of the HiFi repair service offered by CIH Audio Repair.
